A SPEC liquor pick of the week. Some pick. The guy must have been new to wine tasting. I think they were trying to clear out some inventory. Better if you drink it awhile but that doesn’t help the grade much.
It is a clear, bright ruby color but with little structure to the wine. There are some faint berry notes but they seem to be overpowered by the high astringency that this wine seems to deliver. This also tends to throw off the balance and finish. Admittedly, not an expensive wine, but I’ve tasted better for the same price.
This wine tastes better as you drink it.
