Another surreptitious review at a local watering hole. Let’s hope they can’t trace where I drank this back to me. But the price by the glass was right.
This wine has a pale, clear yellow color with no “legs” to speak of. It definitely needs to be served slightly chilled (45-50 degrees). It has a slight citric taste when cold but when it warms up a little you begin to pick up fruit and floral notes. It’s not a very sweet wine and has a low acidity, being a chardonnay. This gives it an OK balance and finish. Toward the end I picked up some metallic taste that didn’t help the final grade. It’s a pleasant enough wine to drink, but like a lot of wines in this price range, it needs more.
