It’s a wine that could go either way as far as sipping vs. dinner. Enough taste to enjoy, enough acidity/tannins for a dinner of your choice. And it’s a wine better than the Chardonnay version.
It’s a clear, bright, ruby violet colored wine. For a merlot-cabernet blend, it’s a sweeter wine that you might expect for a blend like this. There are some nice berry notes to this wine, as well as some moderate astringency and acidity, but nothing that overpowers your senses. As wines go, relatively balanced and a finish that can be described as medium. It’s a wine better for sipping than dinner.
This wine is much sweeter than what I enjoy drinking, which makes it perfect for the fairer sex. Feed it to a tasty water sprite or a brazen wood nymph and expect excellent reciprocity.
