As you know, Hands Across the Corridor is happening at numerous
county courthouses THIS SATURDAY! Last Sunday I had the privilege of
seeing our champion, Carole Keeton Strayhorn, in action talking with
members of the Motorcycle Rights Association. It was great. She
spent 45 minutes in a back-and-forth discussion with the membership.
Now many of the bikers are going to be joining us -- and Carole -- in
Gonzales at 10 a.m. (in the ampitheatre outside the Come and Take It
Cannon) and then driving with her to the Alamo at 12 noon. Should be
a hoot! Check here for all the current locations -- Uvalde just came
on board and will be doing theirs at 9 a.m.:

ALSO ALERT EVERYONE!!! There's so much happening, we almost forgot
to invite you to the Toll & Corridor Summit II organized by
CorridorWatch.org in Austin on Saturday, October 7th at the Clarion
Hotel. This is a grassroots leadership meeting on the Trans-Texas
Corridor and freeway toll schemes. Their distinguished speaker, Dr.
Pat Choate, is a nationally known economist and expert on NAFTA and
trade policy, something that is intimately tied to the drive pushing
the Trans-Texas Corridor. The cost is $45, which includes lunch. Go
to the CorridorWatch.org web site and read all about this important
event. You can register there online.
Thanks to your financial support, we were also able to secure the
Alamo Theater in S. Austin for immediately following the Corridor
Summit at 7 p.m., for the premiere of the documentary by William H.
Molina, "Truth Be Tolled". In a couple of days, I will send you a
link for the trailer of this beautiful film that some of you are
actually in -- having been filmed at the TxDOT Corridor hearings in
July and August! When you receive this followup email, I will tell
you how you can reserve a seat, for which we will ask a suggested
donation. The Alamo (what more appropriate theater could we ask
for?!) is also a dinner theater, so you can eat dinner, watch the
movie and skedaddle on home, or book at room at the Clarion or other
area hotels.
Thanks again, y'all for your continued participation and support,
and welcome to all of the new folks who joined us this week!
Independently yours,
Linda Curtis, founder
