Windy Ridge 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon
Submitted by bob.bacchus on Sun, 2006-08-27 08:58.
Good, deep color. Lots of berry notes, cherry seems the most predominant. And it’s got some good body, with a delightful lack of “twang” at the finish. Sitting around for a few years has really helped this wine probably. I'm not a big Cab fan, but I liked this one. Good taste and a low price, an unbeatable combination. Some people may be put off by a plastic cork, but not me. Most of the wines I try are in a price range that require them to be consumed within a few years anyway. Having a a cork that's plastic or real wouldn't seem to make much of a difference to me. Or the wine. Grade: B Price: $10 or $15 Wine Reviewed:
