If you are Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or any affiliation in between, go read this article. Not because of the feud and division Tom is starting between long time people who desire liberty, but because L. Neil Smith so eloquently states why everyone, who minds being unjustly jailed or killed, should gather behind Dr. Ron Paul's bandwagaon and push just as hard as you can, right now.
So, please, go, read, but most importantly spend the 10 minutes and read the whole article.
L. Neil Smith: Tom Knapp and the "Cult" of Ron Paul
"It does have to be "NOW NOW NOW" because otherwise it'll likely be never ...
"Unlike wishy-washy douchebag politicos on both sides of the largely non-existent divide, Paul's campaign refuses to dance to the music creatures like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton choose for it ...
"[I]s waiting for an absolutely perfect candidate to come along (you certainly wouldn't regard me as such, would you, baby-killer that I am?) worth having these two insane wars continue, worth having more and more Patriot Acts rammed through Congress, worth feeling more ashamed every day by what's being done in our names in terror-filled hellholes like Guantanamo, worth filling concentration camps that have already been built here, for dissenters like you and me?"

MJ, please get substantive ...
... instead of just blurbing Neil's article. I'm interested in why you think that I in particular am "starting feud and division."
The article Neil responded to was very specific in OPPOSING "starting feud and division" by demanding that an organization break its own bylaws "NOW NOW NOW" in order to do something that it's perfectly capable of AMENDING those bylaws to do next May.
When the Ron Paul campaign ends -- whether that's on February 6th or next November -- I expect to continue working with my fellow libertarians who supported that campaign. While I'm not big on the word "fair" -- it usually comes off as whiny -- I'll use it this time:
It's not "fair" to accuse me of "starting feud and division" versus people who screech that anyone who doesn't support their candidate of the moment, and join them in tearing down any libertarian institution that might conceivably stand in the way of that candidate's unlikely success, "is not a libertarian" ... especially since I've probably done more to promote Ron Paul as a side effect of my regular work than most of the activists who promote him intentionally.
Best regards,
Tom Knapp
Hey Tom, Sunday
Hey Tom,
I will “get substantive” as you desire, but not today. I might even re-write parts of the original post if after I re-read what I wrote, they aren't coming out as I intended.
But not today, as, well, this isn't my day job, and my schedule is otherwise consumed, and you're asking me to do more than 'blurb, so I'll give it the couple hours you deserve. Maybe I'll do it up right and drag Wendy into it as well, because, as I see it, it's more of an old guard vs. new blood thing. Sunday maybe?
And, for all of you wondering if there's now a tiff between Tom and myself, there's not. Tom is still getting the $200 from Reason to Freedom sends him every January as well as the revenue from the link space donated to RRND (see below).
Being a guy and all, *hugs* would be a little uncomfortable, so, *strong handshake*,
MJ

I love you, MJ ...
... but you can't have my Bud Lite ;-)
[ACK! Sppttt! choke, cough! Luv ya too, but all of your Anheuser-Busch products are perfectly safe from me.... Now, if you're missing a few Fat Tires or KB Lagers... --MJ]
On beer
Actually, I generally eschew Anheuser-Busch products myself. As Jim Lark says, "Budweiser is what beer drinkers drink when they're not drinking beer." I normally don't like the other St. Louis brewery -- Schlafly -- much either, but I sampled their winter seasonal brew last night and it was pretty good (their "#15" hefe, on the other hand, tastes like wassail or something).
A Fat Tire always works in a pinch, but I generally prefer my traditional standard -- Old Crow and Coke -- or perhaps a Stoli vodka collins, or one of those fru-fru dessert drinks (had one of those last night too, something called a "Mike Hammer" -- tasty!).
Eggnog and Godiva
Well, if we're going to talk fru-fru drinks, my personal favorite is eggnog with a splash of Godiva chocolate lacquer. Be gentle with the Godiva though, as it's easy to add to much.
Your title is, “Libertarians, Old Guard Vs. New Blood, Fight at Eleven,” to be posted sometime after dinner...
