[Sigh, if you hit this page looking for wine reviews, click "Wines" in the left sidebar.]
It pains me to realize that Bacchus's wine reviews garner more search engine traffic than the legitimate political articles on the site. And they are now only superseded by searches for "Cheerleader Sex." (With automotive searches just being edged out by the wines.)
Has our civilization fallen to the point that intellectual stimulation and debate are trumped (by a wide margin, no less) by drunken peep shows? Have we turned into a nation of Kennedys? Is swilling debauchery the new norm? Or can I hope that we are just hoarding our original ideas as gold? To be spent frugally and furtively so that another does not consume our intellectual capital?
I can only hope.
Oh, and it's not like we'll be stopping Bacchus mind you, because as the wise marketer said, any exposure is good exposure.
Sleep well,
MJ
