The most ironic part is that in the very halls of Congress that excreted such stopgap measures, walks a senator from Texas who has for many years, warned of exactly this kind of economic consequences of action; and who has long been ignored when he put forth intelligent and easily applicable solutions to out-of-control spending.

Sometimes it seems like an uphill battle against despair, fighting against an almost total media blackout of Dr. Paul's campaign as well as educating voters to his message that have no idea he is still in the race. Sigh.

That was the year I went to my first anti-war protest on the University of Houston campus and also the year I first smoked pot. And everywhere, all the time, that song was playing on the radio or on record players-it was one of the major soundtracks to my life.

I doubt seriously I would make a good President; I'm sure I would be every bit as big an asshole as any other but I would differ in that I would begin every daily briefing, every Congressional session with a reading of the Constitution rather than a prayer. It would be my hope that eventually, the words would sink in and effect some much-needed change.

-Don't have time/Too busy
You know who doesn't have time? The 4,098 coalition military dead or the 73,922 or 80,560 dead Iraqi citizens (depending on who's figures you believe).
Those are some who seriously don't have any time. If you're breathing and going about your day-to-day life, you have time. How some choose to use it is the issue; the television says millions of our fellow citizens watch American Idol, tune into the latest on O.J. Simpson or Brittney saga so reason might suggest there is some downtime available.

The other morning I woke up with a snippet of song stuck in my head; and as is usually the case, I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the song or who did it-or any of the words other than the part continuously looping in my brain.
So, calling upon my cat-like ninja tech skills, I Googled it.
And was promply amazed.
