Chief of Police says Okay! to Cop Tasering 10yr old Girl

25) AR: Cop can't handle 10-year-old girl, resorts to Taser
Raw Story

Called to a home to help control an allegedly "unruly child," an Ozark police officer was reportedly told by the girl's mother that he could use the electric weapon to subdue her, according to 40/29 News Arkansas.

However, the girl supposedly kicked the officer in the groin when he approached. "He had no other choice [but to Taser her]," Ozark Police [Chief] Jim Noggle reportedly said. "He had to get the child under control." [[RRND] editor's note: He had all kinds of choices. For instance, he could have told the mother "I'm not your babysitter" - TLK]

According to the Associated Press, the officer's name is Dustin Bradshaw. His aggressive approach to dealing with a child has the girl's father enraged.

Unbelievably, it gets better! From another story on the incident:

Medlock said his daughter was at her mother's house when Ozark police Officer Dustin Bradshaw shocked her in the back with a Taser and arrested her.

"If you can't pick the kid up and take her to your car, handcuff her, then I don't think you need to be an officer," Medlock said.

"He had no other choice. He had to get the child under control," said Ozark police Chief Jim Noggle.

Ozark police said it is their policy to use a Taser on someone who is a threat to others, no matter their age.

And finally when the populous hammers the mayor enough, he comes up with some BS to calm the public. Do notice, the officer isn't actually punished for tasing a 10 year old, just for not having a camera on.

On Wednesday, the mayor of Ozark weighed in on the decision made by one of the city's officers to use his Taser on a 10-year-old girl.

"Certainly I was personally shocked to find out that it took place," said Vernon McDaniel. [Way to go mayor! "I'm shocked! I'm shocked, I tell ya'! Oh, and re-elect me please." --MJ]

The officer in question has been suspended for seven days for failure to have his camera on at the time of the incident," McDaniel said.

Don't you just love America?

Land of the Free? . . . Free to call a cop to tase your own kid...
Home of the Brave? . . .The brave officers who have to taser children...

Moral of the story? Write your Mayor and Chief of Police, before a kid in your community gets abused by those who are sworn "to Protect and to Serve," and get it in writing that this type of BS won't happen in your community.

Colorado Deputies Use Taser on 'Out of Control' 10-Year-Old

PUEBLO, Colo. — Colorado sheriff's deputies shocked an "out-of-control" 10-year-old child with a Taser and arrested him.

Pueblo Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Teschner said Wednesday that the boy was not hurt when deputies took action Monday after arriving at his foster home, where he was reportedly destroying property. Teschner says deputies were justified in their use of force. The deputies say the youth threatened them with a pipe and a stick, and threw a piece of wood at them.

The boy was arrested on suspicion of menacing with a deadly weapon.

Last month, a police officer in a small Arkansas town was fired after using a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl, not for using the Taser but for violating department policy by failing to use the camera attached to it.
