Rosemount Estates 2004 Hills of Gold Chardonnay Australia

Not quite as “golden” as it’s name might imply. For the price, you could probably do better. This particular bottle had cork problems. Hopefully, it’s not indicative of problems overall.

It’s got a clear, bright, lively straw color with not a lot of wine structure. It’s got some very weak citrus notes and is moderately dry. It has OK balance and a short finish. There aren't any off notes, but frankly, there’s other Chardonnay’s that merit your attention than this one.
