Rosemount 2004 Chardonnay Hills of Gold Australia

It’s an OK wine from Australia, not spectacular but good with a nice chicken dinner. At $15 a bottle you might find it on sale (like I did) for a lot cheaper. It’s a better buy at $10 or less.

It’s a clear, bright straw yellow color but with out much structure to it. There’s some moderate sweetness (not too dry) and some citrus (grapefruit) but not overpoweringly so. There’s nice balance to the wine but what appears to me to be a short finish. There are no off notes, and some moderate acidity, but not especially remarkable either.

Grade: C+ Price: $15
