The Non-aggression Principle

Non-agression is a shared principle between Objectivists and Libertarians. Of the two, however, only the Objectivists laid a proper philosophical foundation under it. This makes the Objectivist less likely to end up contradicting himself. This two-part article attempts to clear up problems that sometimes lead to muddled expression of good philosophy and politics by Libertarians. These problems include the relationship of foreign policy to morality, the conception of self-defense and retaliation, when war is permissible and imperative, and what needs to be done to avoid the destructive result of avoidable military action.
