Bob is off having his tail chased, or was that chasing tail? Either way, he won't be joining us tonight for this review. So, work with me here and in my best Bacchus voice:

Yes, this has very little leggings. With a very nice deep ruby colour. I do smell some soft berry notes, but can't identify which ones. After tasting, I'm unable to taste the berries, so I still can't identify what berry it might have been. It is harsh, a bit bitter, and if I didn't usually just swill wines I might be able to tell you if it was tannins or turpentine for a finish. Frankly I thought the Italians did better than this. Okay, enough of trying to do Bacchus' job, I don't think I have the pallet.

Acceptable to imbibe with a Mountain Nymph. She would have the taste used to rocks, sulfur, and coal to accept this as an accompaniment to a peasant meal of pungent goat cheese and a week old flat bread. Add some wild mushrooms sauteed in butter and you'd have a fine evening of snuggling and gazing at the stars. A warm blanket, a few sweet nothings, and, ahhh, you know the rest...

I may not buy it again, but I'm not pouring it out either.
