La Vieille Ferme 2005 Red Blend France

Another cheap French wine, another satisfied customer. It's not complex, but it does hit the spot. Goes well with pistachios, but with it's neutrality and table red base, it would probably go decently with almost anything with a bit of flavor or spice. I wouldn't suggest drinking this with either pairs or apples.

Definitely a good choice for a night out with the boys. It's too tart for water sprites, but an old forest wood nymph or most any mountain nymph will accept it for what it is when combined with appropriate food and snacks.

Bacchus speak:
A ruby colour with a lot of legs. A faint berry or cherry smell that doesn't seem to come through to the palate. Somewhat astringent on the finish.
