Not sure I'd call it treason, but what a mess
Hi Jim, I passed this link along to some of my kids, I'll just repeat what I wrote to them:
I don't know if all these allegations are true, and am not sure you can say they add up to treason, but it does show how much of a mess we can get ourselves into if we dispense with principles in running our foreign policy.
A certain amount of pragmatism is necessary, but pragmatism taken to the extreme turns into a crazy tactical mess with no real long-term strategy.
There comes a point where you'll go nuts trying to swat mosquitoes when what you really need is to go turn over the pots in the backyard where they're all breeding. This is a fairly good analogy for our current situation with terrorism.
