A little background
We came out of WW2 glorious winners but many of us were still worried about Soviet Russia and the Communism that was still active in many countries. We set that aside and began to rebuild our families, help our heroes heal and try to get back to normal as quickly as possible.
We soon discovered that those pesky Communists were all over America and we set about to weed them out before they did too much damage. Not soon enough and we discovered the damage to our Unions as the first step. They had control of the new teachers entering our classrooms all the way to the Universities training other teachers. They soon had control of the larger corporations and their unions soon began to vandalize many manufacturing plants and even Hollywood studios until they had the control they needed to do the subtle damage that we are feeling to this day. Even our most liberal politicians decided to do an independent investigation of Communism in America and it ended up weeding out even more of the American traitors who were jamming up our political agendas.
Back to the battlefield in Korea and then Vietnam where Americans were pitted against the Communists, this time not doing too well. The war being unwinnable, we pulled out our troops and came home. We honestly felt we had destroyed the Communists in our country and we tried again to get back to normal.
With Communism dead, what was next?
Suddenly we felt the pressure of Socialism and the power grab coming out of Washington DC trying to level all our states into one big all consuming government. We discovered Barry Goldwater and we knew we had the right President for America who would bring us back to the Constitution and adhere to the Bill of Rights that had been watered down since the start of WW2. Something went wrong and many Americans really wanted a Socialistic government to lead us by the hand from the crib to the grave.
Definitions of Terms
America's two-party system was easy to explain as the Liberal Democrats wanted the federal government to be our only law and the Republicans wanted the federal government to do what the Constitution stated and leave the States to fill in on the social issues according to their desires.
It was easy to sell our GOP to new voters because it gave the individual citizen more freedom to choose the state they wished, and be responsible for the education of their children. What happened to this wonderful plan? Some people would say the "fit hit the shan."
The One World Order
In 1992 when President Bush was running for reelection many of us were on the internet and we learned of the plans President Bush had for a one world order. To me this meant giving up the Sovereignty of America to a foreign group and that was absolutely unacceptable and quite illegal. He was selling our Independence out to a one world order that would mean only Socialism for every American.
The GOP was so cock-sure he would win they didn't even try to find out about this kid from Arkansas who took the election easily. In my area the GOP never regained a majority of voters due to the party itself being unable to hold to the agenda that formed it. A smaller, less expensive, more efficient government no longer existed in the GOP and we simply left for other parties.. I found the LP to my liking.
In 2000 we had an election between the younger Bush and Al Gore who was a strong follower of Clinton's agenda. I won't go into that agenda because I am a lady. Whatever it was did some good things for America. Our stock market was pretty good and our businesses were showing profits that pleased everybody. It took years before we discovered the damage Clinton did to our government and our place in the world.
The campaign discussions were whether Gore could keep it going or was it time for a Conservative Republican to get elected and bring our government back to where it should be and giving the Americans more independent choices without the federal government getting involved.
The bomb was dropped by Candidate Bush that he had been in trouble in his past with a drinking problem but that he had seen the evils of his ways and had become a born again Fundamentalist Christian. He played this to the American voters and brought in all the Clinton haters who wanted the morals reinstated throughout the country. Yes! Yes! A Christian in the White House and we can see the end of our sins!
We had already had 40 plus Christian Presidents and none of them felt they had to run a campaign using this religious angle to win. Many of us hoped that Bush would take the reins and cancel many of Clinton's Executive Orders and start bringing us back to our Constitutional Republic. We thought he would get the federal government out of many of the states problems that were caused by the federal government to begin with, i.e., cancel the Department of Education and get rid of the Hate Legislation that was making every little insult a federal crime, and many other intrusive federal laws that were hurting so many individuals.
Slowly he turns
No, he did nothing within the conservative agenda and suddenly we all knew he was not a conservative but a practicing Socialist who would certainly remove all our state's rights and force us to live under federal rule. It then became apparent that the GOP had split in two parts and the Conservative party was born as the party of Socialism.
911 only pushed Bush into issuing more federal laws and removing states rights and the final blow came with the Patriots Bills that will take every ounce of our privacy and open it up to the federal government. The final straw was Bush's immediate attempt at putting the churches under federal control. His faith-based welfare programs will kill all our charitable organizations who have been taking care of many Americans who have been destroyed by either health or disaster situations. They would all be under the auspices of the Federal Government or lose their tax deduction classifications.
What more could Bush do to remove our individual rights? He came up with a lulu with his Amnesty program. All illegals would be welcomed to America and no questions asked whether they were terrorists, or criminals, or even healthy. He wiped out the Immigrations laws laid out in the Constitution and guaranteed himself reelection in 2004. We see some rumbles from the Senate on these programs but they will pass.
Many of us put a hold on the Amnesty program and hopefully we can stop it all together. What is he doing? And why is he doing this to us? Has America gone too gently into Socialism for anyone not to demand that this man stop giving away our money to our enemies, stop paying for everything that touches our individual lives and for heaven sake stop putting our personal family secrets into a large data base.
Is America doomed to survive under Socialism and see our children try to survive when they can hardly read? Do we have to put up with our history changed to reflect the glories of the church instead of the Constitution? America was a country where both were held in awe and also very separated. How much more of Bush's compassion can we stand? We do not need or want our social actions to be legislated as sins and held to the fear of federal prisons.
To keep even the illusion of our freedoms we must not put President Bush back in office in 2004. We need a Fiscal Conservative whose only focus is on the Constitution and the Individual Freedoms of our 50 states. If suddenly President Bush is pressured to return to the agenda of the original Republican Party and will promise to stop throwing our tax money after bad money, we might discuss it. Until then the two party system in America will be a single desire for Socialism and I will weep.
