Nancy Pelosi?

Why not? Let's give her a chance to clear the air in the House and maybe even in the Senate. She is outspoken and not the least bit shy about her agenda.

How can I say this? Being a Fiscal Conservative and fed up with the current assault on the Republican Party from the religious right, I certainly would love to get back to a political agenda that most of America could understand and follow.

Since 1992, the Republicans have had a single issue on their minds and it is the abortion issue. Why pretend otherwise? Let's get it out in the open and be totally honest with the American voters that they either want another Amendment to the Constitution making abortion a federal murder charge or they don't! If the War on Drugs is intrusive, just wait until the abortion issue gets going!!!

The neo Conservatives have divided up the GOP to such a point that elections are impossible to follow these days. The Republican National Committee is determined to keep abortion on the front burner which has limited our candidates to such an extent that the brightest and most qualified candidates are simply ignored.

We should be focusing on Constitutional issues and until we do, we will continue to see entire states move to the left. I, of course, am speaking of my two states. 4th generation of California Republican background is no longer possible for many of my generation and for the first time in years; Arizona is now in the hands of Liberals. I want this issue brought to the surface once and for all and either write the damn Amendment or leave it the hell alone!

President Bush was elected because he was not Gore! American had been under a terrible siege of corruption for so many years, that not even the basic Democrats could take it any more. We all saw how Democrats lose elections and many of us were disgusted enough not to vote for anyone. Being a Libertarian, I stayed with my party because I was offended by both the GOP and the Dems. I really want a party to come home to but I do not find it in the Bush Administration.

I like his attitude regarding his war on terrorism but I am totally offended with his buying votes within the Churches. His faith-based grants are a payoff for wanting his political candidates having the right to speak to the church congregations. I don't ever remember anyone trying to be this dishonest in his agenda push ever! Buying votes is the epitome of corruption and although it may be legal, it is not ethical by anyone's standards.

President Bush is obsessed by his desire to eliminate abortions. As a Christian he has every right to try and stop the procedure but as a President he does not! He is abusing the power in his White House to manipulate the churches in America and he should at least be man enough to admit it!

He needs to get off the social issues and focus on ridding the world of the terrorists! He needs to sit down and read the Constitution and learn his job description does not call for a Christian leader! He is pointing America into a holy war and we are allowing it to happen.

The Democrats currently in a leadership position are too lazy to step up and stop this assault and simply group into caucus groups and wring their hands. Well, no longer! They found a woman to speak for them and she is a free-thinking loaded pistol!

Bush is running in circles trying to get Christian judges appointed and the Senate won't let him do it! Good for them! I truly believe that the appointment of John Ashcroft has been a disaster! Here is another man who apparently hasn't read the Constitution lately and will not let up on his desire to bring all State's rights under his control. We don't need anymore Ashcrofts running our freedoms into the dirt.

Come on Nancy Pelosi, clear the air for once! Bring out your issues and force the Republican Party to either represent the Constitution or fade out! I want my party back before 2004! I want to return to the GOP and have them become a united force against Socialism instead of the wimpy pro-lifers that can't find the Constitution with both hands.

The fight to eliminate abortions is a good fight. We all would like nothing better than to take back the control of our children and give them the reasons for improving their lifestyles but it can never be legislated! The Christians have lost control of their family structure and in a panic want the federal government to step in and rebuild it.

My heart bleeds for their loss but they seem to forget that common sense, logical discussions and rational home rules will do a whole lot more for their family than any federal law.
