I remember clearly the first savage attack on America when the Japanese bombed the hell out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. We on the California coast jumped into the Civil Defense groups and took up our positions on the palisades over the Pacific Ocean watching for subs and planes that could strike again.

America acted quickly and correctly and the war was on! We won it and everyone came home and lived happily ever after. What? We didn't?

Did we learn anything from this war? Well, then why did we get tangled up in Korea and then Vietnam? Was our winning spirit too tired to continue? I will never understand why we quit and came home in such terrible defeats.

Then the big one! The twin towers, the Pentagon and a single plane that was kept from hitting the capitol or white house was brought down by some very brave Americans who saved the center of our government.

Oh, but we were cool! We mourned our dead and gave our money until it hurt and we grabbed our family members and began to lick our wounds and heal.

But then the undercurrent of several government and civilian plans began to surface. Bush was brilliant in his speeches about taking down the criminals who planned and executed the attack on America. Even I cheered him on. I say even I as I had not voted for him but stayed with Harry Browne. Bush had my 100% backing in his plans to search and seize the leaders of the groups who did the dastardly deeds.

The first thing President Bush did was wake up the Intelligence Agencies who had been sleeping soundly since President Clinton was in charge. President Bush gave them a good shake and the plans for retaliation were soon on the agenda and we were off and running. Very good! Very very good!

Suddenly I pulled up short when I began to hear the words "holy war." Oh no! But slowly the political groups and the many political forums on the internet began to talk about taking out the Muslim organizations in the Arabic countries and America too. Now wait a damn minute! We can't do this, it is against civilized American practices! Isn't it? It certainly is against the constitution!

5,000 years ago we were all living in tribes somewhere on the earth. Some even in America and others anywhere they happen to be born. We were beginning to use tools to feed ourselves and also to protect our tribe members. When one tribe began to take our women and food sources our men slaughtered the enemy invaders and we were safe again.

Everyone knows that men were more civilized then the animals and so they worked out a plan called laws. To live in a tribe one had to obey the laws or you too joined the enemy ranks and were slaughtered to feed the animals or some of the tribe members (it all depended on the laws of the tribe.)

We had some Gods show up and tell us that this was the wrong way to handle our lives. The Jews had an "in" with Moses who had an "in" with God and suddenly the tablets of rules were handed to the Jews. This was a magnificent start to civilization. Then Jesus was sent to earth and handed out more laws which were good soon followed by other Gods that pretty much said the same thing. I may not have the sequence right, but you get my drift.

This should have given us a clue how not to continue our savage ways but sadly it did not. We saw the blood baths of the Inquisition and the wars trying to make England a Protestant country! Ouch, those Catholics had other plans. Between the Crusades and the Inquisition it appeared that humans reverted back to their savage ways and all were filled with a terrible rage.

When the new world was discovered many brave men and woman from Europe decided they had had quite enough of the governments in their own countries trying to tell them how to live and how to pray. They started migrating over the Atlantic Ocean in some of the most brave attempts at freedom ever recorded. Reading the many diaries of some of the women with children can bring tears to a robot.

Who were these people? Many were Protestants running from Catholic Spain and France. Many were from the British Isles fleeing both Catholics and Protestants and desirous of a free place to live and start a more Puritan set of laws. My family members were Catholics fleeing the Protestants of Scotland! They were all tired of blood shed and wanted a place to live freely. What a great plan! I have always been thrilled to know that my ancestors were a part of this migration. They had fled Scotland and may have wanted a place to sit and drink! Well, that is what they do now!

When these new Americans discovered that they were still unable to get along together they began to spread out and find locations where they could do their thing. My family had been ranchers and farmers and settled in Kentucky and Texas. They must have found a source of hooch because they stayed there until 1900.

"What the hell are you getting at Price?" I can hear you all getting ready to leave me, but don't , as I have a point to make.

The point is that have we really bred the savage out of our people? On September 11, we were attacked by a bunch of savage religious zealots who made the point that they would be better off without America and her terrible people. Lordy, they were well planned and smooth and they pulled off the smoothest terrorist attack ever seen on the earth.

We all realize that they must have had American help to do this. There were able to do this as our Federal Intelligence and Immigration and Naturalization Agencies had been out to lunch for 10 years. So, as I stated before our President gave them a good kick in the butt and now we are planning our next move.

Our first act has been nothing less than spectacular! We have a coalition of like-minded countries who have promised to work with us to remove the terrorists. May I add a foot note here that the United Nations didn't lift a friggen finger to help gather up this support! Well, hell, we didn't need them!

Bin Laden is as good as dead and his mangy group of munchkins will be brought to a trial and I want to see any attorney try to prove it was an accident, or they were mistreated as children, or under drugs or one of the more popular excuses for breaking the law. I don't know what will happen to them as it is not my responsibility. It had better be good!!

Now, here is my fear! In preparing my self- protection actions, I attended a large 2nd Amendment meeting here in my village. I live in a state where I can use a gun but this is against my nature and since I have no man living with me I figured I had better learn more about weapons.

After one hour of this group, I left shocked to the core with their plans of destroying the infidels living in America. I asked them if they would ever consider attacking the Taliban instead of their current list of heathens. I explained that I was not a Christian and wasn't aware that I had to be one and still be a patriotic American. It got ugly! And I left with my life! They began to hiss and stamp their feet. On my way out I stopped and talked to a very well dressed man who was a part of the group. They want all Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Gays, Muslims and Buddhists to be returned to their homelands or be destroyed. I looked at this idiot and told him my homeland for 5 generations was California! He turned blood read and I got in my car, locked my door and returned to the safety of my little home over looking the river.

I read a lot of web sites and lurk on many forums and I have discovered that there are thousands of people who actually believe that President Bush, being a born again Christian will destroy every person involved in the attacks as well as all Muslims living in America too!

Even the best political writers on the internet want a holy war to remove the Islamic Arabs all over the world including those living in America. We all realize that many American blacks have joined the Muslim faith and probably wouldn't think twice about a joint slaughter. Farrakahn has done a good job.

My old cohorts on the many Republican forums have decided that it is time that America be declared a Christian nation once and for all!

On a dozen sites I have asked the question "Why would America want to become a Christian nation and what is wrong with American being a free nation?"

Actually I have had to leave 2 sites because I dared to ask the question. But honestly folks, do we really believe that having a Christian nation will mean a more civilized set of laws? Do we really want to trash the Constitution with a whole new set of freedoms? Freedoms only for Christians? Or do these folks desire a double standard that we must live with labels again?

Will we be assigned a category with our National IDs with my category being a white Anglo Saxon atheist? I have been studying Judaism and do I get a new category if I change my religion?

I have had serious doubts about President Bush ever since his campaign speech claiming he is a born-again Christian. I had no problem with other Presidents being Christians but a "born again?" I'm not sure I like this one bit. He immediately appointed two more in Cheney and Ashcroft and now I am really worried.

In my vast reading of human nature in general and religion in particular I am very distrusting of anyone who claims to be born again. I remember reading an article from a science magazine that was reprinted in the Reader's Digest. Some university had done a study of this miraculous conversion and it came down to a vision or dream that made the person feel a need to make a firm contract with what ever holy ghost had been responsible for the vision or seizure. Many doctors have thought it could be a reaction to some bad drugs or a simple dream.

We have many well educated and intelligent young people living in sanitariums absolutely convinced they are in daily communication with God. Hell, even Charlie Manson thought he was Jesus. Others come to mind; Jim Jones and David Koresh and of course, Tex Watson who slaughtered the Manson victims. Tex is now a Christian minister with his own group in the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo California.

In my look at this mess, I do not believe we need to take out all the Muslims. Basically I don't believe we could do it. Before we declare a war on Islam we will have to clear the government of everything but Christians. We will never be able to pull this off with any minority being involved in the actions. So first we have to become a Christian Nation and then we have to remove the non-Christians from our services and then we can start the slaughter that seems to be the popular idea.

By then the rest of the World War 2 generation will be gone and the patriots won't exist to try and stop what we all know to be an eventual blood bath.

So President Bush may be asking for a commitment to destroy one third of the world's population. Will we find ourselves dancing in the streets or will it be our blood that flows into the sewers?

For heaven's sake get off the holy war crap! Stop it before it gets a single step up. I sincerely hope that all our political writers take a second look at what they are promoting and never forget what human nature can do to the idea of cleaning up our genetic bodies and minds.

I for one am completely satisfied being an Anglo Saxon atheist female who looks as if I just came off the fields of some farm. I am built like a Russian peasant who was able to spit out babies with great ease. I am also intelligent enough to realize that I might even find a spirit or God to follow before I meet death.

I will fight the issuance of any federal ID card and I will certainly not allow any federal agent to break into my home without a proper warrant. The problem is that I was born a free American and will never give up a single freedom for some leader who believes he has made a covenant with God to remove me or my freedoms.

So let's get off this holy war nonsense and get back into planning a better and more limited government.
