Rerouting Rick Perry & his Corridor w/Grandma!

Folks from Farmersville, The Colony, Grapevine and Ft. Worth (rural,
suburban, and urban!) protesting yesterday at Perry's expensive
"celebration" in Coppell, TX, of his "double-tax" urban tolling of
Hwy. 121.  Notice our sign about the still secret CINTRA contract to
develop the Trans-Texas Corridor.  We'll be in Lewisville tomorrow
with Carole at 2:00 pm for a press conference to Stop 121 Tolls.

Dear Friends:

We met you at a recent TxDOT hearing on the Trans-Texas Corridor.
We work with groups across the state mounting opposition to the
Corridor.  We call ourselves the Triple R movement for Rout Rick's
Route.  We are the Blackland Coalition, Independent Texans, Citizens
for a Better Waller County, and the San Antonio Toll Party.  We all
recently endorsed Carole Keeton Strayhorn for Governor.  "The
Grandma" attended 15 hearings with us around the state to express her
deep opposition to the Corridor, while no other candidate for
Governor attended even one of the 56 hearings.  And, this is only one
of many things she has been DOING for several years with us.  We
believe Mrs. Strayhorn is our very best choice (not to mention, the
only viable option) to reroute Rick Perry in November.

We invite you to a meeting in your area to discuss the
Corridor and the Grandma as our solution in November.  Most of these
events will feature guest speaker David Stall, co-founder of
CorridorWatch.org.  David will answer any and all questions that
TxDOT couldn't or wouldn't.  In addition, his  wife, Linda, will be
on hand.  Linda is the other co-founder of Corridor Watch, and
recently left the organization in her more-than- capable husband's
hands, to help lead the anti-Corridor movement behind Mrs.
Strayhorn's effort in November.

Below are just two of the many followup meetings scheduled
around the state.  For more meetings in your area (Bastrop, Ennis,
Taylor, Georgetown, Manor, and soon will be Hillsboro, Clifton, Waco,
Pearsall, McAllen and more), please check our calendar at our web
site listed below my signature -- and keep checking back as we are
adding meetings daily.

Temple:  sponsored by the Blackland Coalition, this coming
Saturday,
Sept. 2, 7-9 pm, Seaton Hall, 10842 State Highway 53.

Marlin:  sponsored by Independent Texans, Saturday, 6:30 -
9:00 pm,
Marlin High School, 1400 Capps St, Marlin, Texas

SAVE THIS DATE AND WATCH FOR DETAILS COMING REAL SOON:
Saturday,  Sept. 30, Hands
Across the Corridor!   At varying times of the day,  thousands of
people will bring a cup of dirt to their county  courthouse to let
Rick Perry know that is the only land he is getting  from us for his
Corridor plan.  More details coming soon!

Want to volunteer?  We can really use your help!  Please
reply to  this email and let us know how and when it's best to reach
you, or feel free to just call me whenever!

Independently yours against the Corridor,

Linda Curtis, founder
