Faith? I'd rather have Reason.

Hi Patty,

"God" like "Santa Clause" is useful for the entertainment and behavioral bribery of non-rational (e.g. still dependent, not mature yet) minds. After parents spend time in teaching children to learn and start developing their own cognitive skills, parents no longer need the Santa Clause myth to cajole their children "to be good."

The phasing out of the God concept through similar mechanisms suffers from a fatal flaw. In that the main proponent of it, organized religion, has a seriously vested financial interest in not teaching their sheep the cognitive skills necessary to no longer depend upon organized religion for acting socially "correct."

So, please, do like the slogan at the top of the page, "Think for Yourself," and break your addiction.

Best Regards,
