[fRtF] 11/17 - ID theft, Real ID, and the Wizard of ID

We've received a few complaints that our newsletter hasn't been including "all" the entries from the prior week. Which following our 'rule' set it did (e.g. include everything only from the last Thur. - Wed., which is the pool the next front page article comes from). But according to expectations (e.g. include everything prior to when the newsletter is actually sent) it didn't. So, simplifying the entire problem, the newsletter will now follow expectations for inclusion. And, selection of the next front page will still from the Thur. - Wed. pool, to allow time for selecting (and I'm sure I'll break that 'rule' too sometimes). Now that the water is probably muddier than it started out to be, have a great weekend! ;)

In other news:
Our newsletter system has been repaired. A corrupt file was found and replaced and everything is working properly. But, if you have any problems, just send me a note. (Finding a replacement became more effort than fixing it, but that's usually how it goes. . .)

Best Regards,

ID theft, Real ID, and the Wizard of ID
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/id_theft_real_id_and_the_wizard_of_id.html
In today's Peeping Tom Dystopia, government datacrats at all levels are fixated on finding out everything about us. They track us with spycams and RFID chips and warrantless wiretaps and computer stealthbugs and black boxes in our autos and covert email intercepts and mandatory snitching from our bankers and doctors and telephone firms and credit card companies. They need this massive database of birthdays and divorces and pay raises and colonoscopies and vaginal wart prescriptions because they are from the government and they are here to protect us.

But protect us how? And from what?

Why George W. Bush is scared to talk to Cindy Sheehan
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/why-george-w.html
Cindy Sheehan is waiting for her opportunity to ask 'President Bush' why he started a war knowing full well that none of the justifications for that war presented to the American people with such heat and urgency were true. Of course there are no answers available that will mend the heart of a mother who has lost her only child. Mothers will do anything for their children. Now Cindy is doing the only thing she can do to bring meaning to Casey's death at 24. She is asking the question that the NeoCons cannot answer.
The NeoCons have no answers for anyone, only empty rhetoric that is beginning to curdle as soon as it is exposed to light.
Cindy will continue to wait.

Stealing Elections Texas Style: Mrs. Blankenship goes out to vote.
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/stealing_elections_texas_style_blankenship.html
What is a woman to do when the X will not stay firmly in the square when it is placed on the Diebold Machine? What did one woman do in Dallas Texas when confronted with the unpleasant truth that votes could be stolen? Mrs. Blankenship might be in her late 70s, but she is still a Texan and she took action so that her vote for Libertarian candidates would be registered.

Ain't no lesser of two evils
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/aint_no_lesser_of_two_evils.html
Libertarians, especially the anarcho variety, wonder why anyone who truly has values would bother to vote at all. Between the Donkeycrats and the Grand Old Partyarchs there ain't no lesser of two evils. Below are excerpts from one such mass-circulated dreadmail stating the horrors of a Democrat win (each one is reprinted verbatim), followed by what, based on their track record, Republicans would do instead, followed thereafter by the libertarian response to both.

An open letter to libertarian Republicans
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/an_open_letter_to_libertarian_republicans.htm
Right now, libertarian Republicans are the only faction in the GOP left standing. Everyone else has been drowned in the deluge or is still cowering on the beach, coughing up water and trying to figure out what the hell hit them. You guys are the only ones left with any credibility, any muscle, any ideas that resonate with the public. If the Republican Party has a future, YOU ARE IT.
