This wine has a clear to bright deep burgundy color. It does not however have any legs to speak of. The wine sheets down the glass instead. Upon opening, you might notice a very peppery aroma that dissipates quickly. There seems to be definite fruit notes โ major ones are cherry or black cherry with some pepper undertones and some very robust acidity. Tannins are present too, but are moderated somewhat. I feel the acidity overpowers the finish however. And the finish itself is a moderate to short. Good with a peppery dish perhaps, or when you need the acidity to stand up to that requires it. It may not be up to snuff for drinking by itself.
PostScript: Seems to improve after opening with time. Give it about 30 minutes before drinking.
