Proof that it’s possible to get a great house wine in a bar or restaurant for a cheap price. And I like cheap. This was the $2 happy hour wine at a Johnny Carino’s.
This wine has a deep, clear, bright garnet or burgundy color. It has some nice berry notes on the nose that follow through on your palette. Because of its age (2003) the tannins and acidity have been nicely modulated yielding a good balance and a medium finish. You could drink this all day (and at the happy hour, I nearly did).
