Luna di Luna 2005 Chardonnay Italy

A blended wine in a cute blue bottle from Italy. Blended? More like cycled through a Cuisinart. Something got lost in translation with this one.

This is a young, fresh wine with a pale yellow color. The freshness seems to extend to the taste and smell too. There doesn’t seem to be much floral or fruity about this wine. Your nose and palette might more likely detect mown grass instead. The balence is there but muted and the finish is short. There aren’t any off-notes to speak of, but in general this wine is pretty blah. Try the Merlot-Cabernet from the same winery instead. I liked it a lot better and you might too.
