It’s somewhat unusual to find a wine Bordeaux. And a bit more unusual to find an $8 wine from Rothschild. It’s serviceable, but nothing spectacular.
This wine is of a clear, bright yellow to yellow-gold color with medium depth and has at least a hint of structure. It has some definite citrus notes cold, sort of a balancing act between lemon and grapefruit. It’s a very dry wine, but the balance is ok, and there are certainly not a lot of tannins to grab you at the end, with perhaps a slight mineral after taste. The finish seems a bit short too. It’s not particularly distinctive, but summer coming; it might be ok well chilled for a hot day.
