Mogen David Concord New York

This clear, bright (if a trifle pale) “wine” is ruby in color. There’s some definite grape aroma (think Welch’s juice) and little else. There’s a lot of sweetness there (and some alcohol) but it basically tastes like grape juice with alcohol added. It’s slightly more drinkable than several others in a similar category (Night Train, Thunderbird, MD 20/20).

You might save some money and get the same effect by adding some cheap vodka to grape juice. The best news here: with no year associated with it, I’ll only have to do this review once.

Grade: None worth giving. Price: $3.50
