Cline 2005 Ancient Vine Zinfandel Sonoma California

I don’t give a grade this good too often. It’s a pretty agreeable wine. And it ought to be good for the price. But you have to let it breath about 15 to 20 minutes before really imbibing.

There’s a clear, bright ruby to violet color, but not a whole lot of structure to it. There’s plenty of fruit, mostly cherry and black cherry. Some tannins, but they seem to moderate after 20 minutes or so. This leaves a nicely balanced wine but with a rather short finish. It’s a wonderful wine by itself. Try a glass.
