Warres Otima 10 Year Old Tawny Porto Portugal

On par with a Taylor Porto I tried earlier. But here you get less. This bottle is a 500ml version, at a cheaper price, but the full 750ml version would cost about the same as some other ports. If you want a nice port a little more cheaply, this could be it.

It’s got clear, bright brick color, if a trifle pale. It has some definite dried fruit (I kept thinking almost fruitcake like, but in a good way) some nice vanilla and smokiness underneath. Ten years in oak has done some nice things to this wine. It’s not too sweet, but has a nice complexity and finish.
