Canyon Oaks 2005 Merlot California



Not a bad one. In fact, for $4, better than some Merlots I’ve tasted. It would be interesting to see if this wine improves in a year or two...

It’s got a clear bright ruby-violet color with some wine structure. Couple that with some nice blackberry and berry notes a balance and finish and you’ve got a Merlot that could be worth drinking everyday. I wonder how it would rate against “Two Buck Chuck”?

Good. Tasty. Goes very well with strawberries and chocolate. And of course the tasty nymphs that like those types of things…
