Yvecourt 2005 Sauvignon Blanc Bordeaux France

It’s a somewhat typical Blanc but made with Bordeaux grapes. Light, in almost every respect as far as typical Blanc’s go. But it’s a nice summer wine.

It has a bright, pale straw yellow color but with not a lot of structure to it. Like a lot of Blanc’s it’s taste is somewhat muted. A certain citric note to be sure but with very little sweetness. Good for deglazing a pan the next day if you aren’t drinking it in one sitting. This wine has no real off notes. For me, wines like this aren’t my “cup of tea”.
