Dows 10 Year Old Tawny Porto

A nice port, but if you are going to spend the money for this kind of thing you can do better elsewhere. See my Taylor Fladgate review...

This port has a clear, bright, but light brick red color (similar to a sherry) with some structure to the wine. It has a less intense dried fruit and vanilla notes. These notes follow through on the palette but as a sort of an echo. There is a softer sweetness and a bit harsher taste than other ports aged the same number of years. This harshness tends to throw the balance and finish off and there seems to be a slight off taste at the end. Still drinkable but others might serve you better.
