Cheerleader sex scandals seem to be rampant down here in Texas. With the recent MySpace pics of fake fellatio by a few cheerleaders from McKinney North High School (near Dallas), our servers are inadvertently being stress tested. Hopefully the thousands of people hitting our "Texas Cheerleader Sex Scandal" article won't be too disappointed. Granted our article at http://www.reasontofreedom.com/Texas_Cheerleader_Sex_Scandal.html talks about underage girls strutting around in cheerleading outfits and a certain Texas House of Representative Reverend's lecherous thoughts and fantasies . . .
Otherwise, we're still recovering from too many New Year's parties, luckily Garry managed to write something for the front page.
Happy Aspirins,

2006: Freedom in the rearview mire, by Garry Reed
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/2006_freedom_in_the_rearview_mire.html
It's time to play "Year in Review," that game beloved by the MSM (that's cybersay for mainstream media) because, come the new year, journalist types are hung over, bored, unimaginative, and generally find it easier to dig through old headlines than to write something original. No difference here. So, from a hungover, bored, unimaginative libertarian point of bleary view, here's looking at 2006 in the rearview mire.

Republican Religious Conservatives, by Sandra Price
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/rrc.html
I have some serious questions for the new Republican Religious Conservatives. Is your movement to change the laws within the federal government really based on legislating your moral values or is it merely a power tool for control? What was taught to us in Sunday school was to form a personal relationship with Jesus to improve our ability to be better, more moral individuals. When did this desire turn to wanting control over other people's actions and eventually wanting the government to set the rules?

Man bites dog: straight man outed, by Garry Reed
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/man_bites_dog_straight_man_outed.html
A general journalistic principal: Dog Bites Man is not news; Man Bites Dog is news. World-renowned lingerie and handbag designer Ignacio Octavo Ulysses (known to his legion of fans and trademark attorneys simply as Iggy) stunned the global gay community by announcing that he is straight. "I can no longer live a lie," Iggy announced during his acceptance speech at the International Fashion Designers and Trend-Setters Awards Festival in Cannes. (Satire)
Are Atheists Normally Socialists?, by Sandra Price
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/are_atheists_normally_socialists.html
I am what most people call a generic Republican. I apparently fell for the: Limited Government, Individual Freedoms, Personal Responsibilities, and a Balanced Budget crap! ... Is there no hope left in America to try and keep our individual freedoms out of the hands of the religious right?
