[This is a spectacular comment that was left on the "Leave the United States if you can" page. I'm making it it's own post, with some minor editing/formatting, for ease of location and reading. Remember though, this is a comment, so don't expect it to be up to an article's standards. Thanks Conellw! --MJ.]
Leaving the USA

Well, I would like to live in Ireland and even with the bad economy, give it a go, however I'm not sure just how bad it is.
I don't require a lot to be happy. A small town, good fishing, perhaps hunting (optional), quiet green cool hills to relax and read good books, good neighbors, a nice supporting job of repairing or perhaps a little shop on the main street in town to sell goods and talk with the people. All without permission from a government to do so.
In the USA, you need permission (permits/ licenses') to do just about anything. There are so many laws, you probably break at least one just getting out of bed in the morning. My business of 22 years is suffering mostly because of regulations and laws and rules which are constantly being updated and hard to keep up with- the government does not help- they impede growth! The cost and laws of hiring just one employee has gotten out of hand.
People want to sue over the dumbest things that "they" should be responsible for. People collecting free money (welfare) need not contribute anything to society, yet the government has plenty of money for them, however the hard working people who are forced to pay into Social Security are told they may not see their money. The illegal income tax takes away from the people so the government can afford expensive vacations, the best health care, the highest wages, the best retirement incomes and play gods.
The government passes laws against the will of the people and laws which are clearly unconstitutional, then call us terrorists if we express our "Right" to demand our rights.
We are told the government is who creates jobs- it is the private sector who creates jobs, it is the government whose restrictions "prevent" the private sector from creating jobs.
We are no longer a Republic. We are no longer a "people", but an owned society of drones forced to work for the will of the government. We no longer own property- fail to pay tax and the government takes it away and will murder you to do it.
We no longer vote to make a change when all the incumbents are corrupt. The government officials can break laws and go unpunished, yet the people are expected to obey the laws. We are no longer "equal". We are punished/ jailed for committing no crimes- but just suspicions. Our Judges make laws from the bench. The authorities can lie to you- but you cannot lie to them.
There is no accountability when a man is elected President on the basis of what he say's he will do, yet he does none of it. There is no accountability when the President is not even eligible to be President.
We are now being told what to eat, drink, wear, what we can do in our own homes and our homes are invaded without warrant. People are murdered by law enforcement by tearing down the door and shooting you for trying to defend your own home- and many times, law enforcement has the wrong home. Our money at the banks can be seized for just about any reason without due process. "Peace Officers" have become "Law Enforcement" (Trained military style) detached from the people whom they are to serve.
Juries are kept from seeing or hearing the truths of a case. Money has become their God. Vengeance their agenda. Greed and hatred a way of life. You must comply or you are civil disobedience problems.
Our children are drugged because they don't act as they want them too, yet kids on drugs are jailed. The adults are no example for our kids, since they are corrupt, greedy and selfish. People have sex as if it is a product to select from a menu on demand- this includes government officials, judges, law makers etc.
Our border is left for the most part open even after cries from the people to close them more securely, yet the government decides to make laws against the American people instead who interfere with those coming across the border legally. Our government has sent many arms to the drug dealers across the border- which are being used to kill US citizens- This action was suppose to be a corrupt scheme to make it look like the US needs gun control laws- it backfired- no one is in jail for this at the government level.
We are fighting invisible terrorists the US has created by murdering people in other countries- invasions if you will. We make war without declaring war. We murder for oil. They are outlawing vitamins, yet do nothing about the poisons- fluoride in the water and Aspartame in foods known to kill.
I have more.
What country is better than this?
