McPherson Cellars 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

Over all, it’s a pretty tasty wine considering the price. Some extra time on the shelf might help this wine (or use an aerator).

It’s a clear, bright ruby color wine with plenty of berry notes and moderate tannins. It’s a dry wine (not overly so) and there’s some lively acidity too. Better perhaps for dinner than just sipping but just barely in my book. It’s got something of a “new” taste that makes me think some extra shelf time might help.

Harsh on the nose with a tart finish. Have it with a meal, appetizers or tapas.
