Pizza Vino 2005 Pinot Noir California

This is a clear, bright deep ruby violet color wine with some nice berry notes (blackberry) to it along with some dried fruit under notes, a pretty good combination. There’s some medium-dry sweetness, refreshing (read appropriate) acidity and just enough tannins to let you know they are there. This gives the wine good balance and a medium finish. A nagging bit of bitterness seems to go away after the bottle is opened (15 minutes). Good with pizza and definitely good on its own.
