Retaliation?

We need to discuss what we want Washington DC to do in our retaliation of the terrorist attacks.

The Islams want a religious war. The roots of the Muslim rage stem from their single desire to rule the world. This is all laid out in their Koran. Their opponent is America and therefore we became the target for their wrath.

We were attacked many times prior to 9/11 and I am beginning to wonder if Washington DC knows who the enemy is and what are we to do about it?

Will this become a religious war? How can it when America is made up of all religions? We apparently have given the impression to the world that America is a Christian nation. We have sent Christian missionaries to Afghanistan where they were immediately arrested. Did we not know this? Why did we not warn the churches who sent these people into an Islam country that they might not return?

How can we stop the terrorist attacks when in the eyes of the Islam faith-followers Christians have been assaulting them since the time of the Crusades? This is a sticky position for any American to be placed. Do we stand firm as Americans or as Christians? The next question should be "what about those of us who are not Christians?" Are we going to be asked to fight the terrorists? We will, but will we fight with the same zeal?

It seems to me that we need to first of all locate the enemy. Is it bin Laden, Hussein, Khadafy? Is it the Islam countries themselves, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran or Libya? Is it only the religious groups or the countries themselves who are determined to rid the world of Christians and Jews? I don't know, does Washington DC know?

Until we can find the enemy, how can we fight the war? I keep hearing that President Bush does not want a religious war but does this mean that American troops will bomb the people of Afghanistan? Or do we wait for bin Laden to come out and tell us?

In my simple mind I can see only a few options open to us. We can round up all the terrorists from all the Islamic countries and simply put them on trial and deal with them as a group. We can bomb the countries themselves and hope not to take out too many innocent women and children. We can sit still and do nothing, hoping not too many innocent women and children in America will suffer more than we already have.

This last option seems to not have worked for us in the past and I wonder if our leaders will leave us wide open to further attacks. We may be dealing with things like Anthrax or Ebola or even Small Pox before this mess is over.

Until we decide who the enemy is, I suggested that we close our borders to all visitors from Islamic lands. Let's wake up the Immigration and Naturalization Service and make them earn their money. When the INS has their data base up to date, then we should be able to allow visitors to return if they can show a cause for their presence here.

Our open borders should be immediately closed!

How do we weed out the enemy? My suggestion would be to have 4 loaded missiles at the ready in 4 separate locations. Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Libya should all be notified that our missiles are ready for any single terrorist attack that should come from any or all of the countries listed. When we attack we launch them all! That would certainly get their attention!

It would take another of Bush's speeches that would be issued to any country that wanted another shot at innocent Americans. Do we have 4 missiles that even work? Do we have launch ability from our battleships?

The last option is to do nothing. We will wait for another attack and hope it doesn't happen during Bush's terms.

Do I have the situation clear? What am I missing?
