Ok, I’ll be the first to tell you this is a REALLY cheap wine. I got it on sale for $3.00. Still, it’s not a really bad choice for the price. And not your typical Cab.
It’s got a nice but pale ruby color and let’s face it, not a whole lot of structure. There are berry notes to be had with some cherry under notes and maybe some vanilla beneath that. It has some surprising sweetness (not a lot but not typically found in a Cab). Tannins and acidity seems pretty low and tends to give a somewhat balanced wine and short finish. It’s surprising drinkable but all aspects seem to be come up short, fullness of taste, etc.
Grade: C+ Price: $3 (you might find it for $5)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Tisdale Chardonnay (no year on bottle)
Saw some bottles of this lying in a box at the end of a food aisle in our local Fred Meyer store....well, for $3 apiece, I decided to try three...EUREKA! It beats all the other Chards (at 5 - 10x the price) for smoothness and no acidy aftertaste...I'm hot on the trail for a few cases...what a great find!
I'm very eager to know if these are oak barreled at all? Very hard to find whites that are in the past 5 years of vintages...Thanks. CL

On sale now $2.50 a bottle.

Haven't tried it. But I'll look for it.
Hmmm. I haven't had the pleasure of trying Tisdale's Chardonnay. I'll try to find it at my local Sun Harvest store, where I found the Cab. I can't answer your question about the oak aging but I'm assuming there's some....
Tisdale 2007 Cabernet
Tisdale on sale in the Modesto, Ca area for $2 per bottle.
It rivals Two Buck Chuck for overall drinkability (although Chuck varies because it is nothing more than the overstock of a variety of wineries, changing every month.)
Tisdale features peppery, black cherry and salty bubblegum notes, with low tannins.
Tisdale NV Cabernet Sauvignon
Sorry.. there isn't ANYTHING good about this wine EXCEPT the price.. the non-vintage labeling is indicative that the producer may be trying to hide alot of flaws to get rid of the stuff and for certain the extremely high acid level in this particular MIX OF VINTAGES is probably one of the ugly characteristics that Tisdale producers are trying to cover up and sell off cheap in order to cut their losses; the bottle is worth far more than the wine...
