Fiora 2006 Rose Wine Spain

Wood nymphs and water sprites, but not mountain denizens, will succumb to the charms of this nectar. It goes down easy, given its lack of complexity, but if you are a jaded old satyr you can use that to your advantage.

Open this for your running mates and expect to be stoned.

Wild Vines Strawberry White Zinfandel California

Another wine from the rather large stable of Gallo, and in a nutshell, it’s a girlie wine. The wine is cloyingly sweet like several Zins I’ve tasted, but with something that at least tastes like strawberry added. Two curious notes: it’s the only wine I’ve ever seen with a nutrition label, and the list of ingredients says it doesn’t contain any juice. So were exactly did the strawberry taste come from?

Mulderbosch 2006 Cabernet Rose' South Africa

I’ll admit drinking Roses’ are not on high on my list. And this one seems to be a typical Rose’ to me.

De Loach 2004 White Zinfandel California

Once again you get what you pay for. A better choice if for no other reason than it’s not as cloyingly sweet as say Beringer White Zinfandel. You’ll spend twice a much, but you’re worth it.

Ste Genevieve 2005 White Zinfandel

For its price, it’s a White Zinfandel that might be worth drinking
