Rolling 2004 Cabernet-Merlot Australia

It’s a wine that could go either way as far as sipping vs. dinner. Enough taste to enjoy, enough acidity/tannins for a dinner of your choice. And it’s a wine better than the Chardonnay version.

Grego 2004 Old Vines Tempranillo Spain

It’s a wine that is got no real off-notes but not much to crow about either. It’s a wine that’s most like a cab more than anything else. If that’s your “bag” give it a try. Best with dinner than for just sipping. But at this price, better buys might be had else where. Check our best of list....

Tin Roof 2005 Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon California

It’s a better effort than the chardonnay version from these guys. A reasonably good sipping wine and also good with dinner. It’s a wine that just leaves your taste buds tingling.

Osborne 2005 Solaz Spain

An all around nice wine. You can drink it alone (but really, who likes to drink alone?) or you can pair it with food. Try it with roasted pork or some salted, dry roasted pistachios.

Joe Blow 2005 Red Wine California

For seven dollars and a blended wine you could do a lot worse than this one. Certainly a better wine than the Joe Blow Chardonnay tasted earlier. I’ve not tasted anything quite like this since the Relax Red I had a while back. Enjoy some today!

Carro Tinto 2006 Red Wine Yelca Spain

Overall it’s a pleasant sipping wine and ok with a lighter dinner. I’m partial to lighter reds, and this one fits the bill!

Domaine Calvel 2004 Red Wine Corbieres France

It’s a pleasant wine, if not a particularly inspiring one. Good with dinner and in a pinch, sipping on its own if needed.

Alice White 2007 Cabernet-Shiraz Australia

One of a rainbow – and I mean do mean rainbow – of wines from these guys. When all the varieties are all lined up together it makes a rainbow from one end of the spectrum to the other. This one isn’t bad for the price but another year might help it or some aeration.

Labouré-Roi 2006 Red France

So bitter sweet; It has the basis to be great, but never follows through. Possibly it was a bad year for the grape? Use on an impure maiden or just to swill the night away.

Chateau du Pin Franc 2005 Merlot - Cabernet France

Sacré Dieu! If she wears panties, this will remove them. Be she a zitella or a water sprite, she will quaff heartily of this sublimely balanced nectar. Serve alone or with most any food. If you're a foul rogue who desires a single nights acquaintanceship, serve slightly chilled and by itself. For those of us who prefer lasting friendships, serve with pleasant and tasty snacks. She will be yours, it is your choice as to how long you shall keep her in your good stead.

Sebeka 2006 Cabernet Pinotage South Africa

It’s a nice blend – a very nice blend – from South Africa. It manages to hit all the right notes for me and perhaps you too. Try some today, as the price is certainly right. This is the 2nd wine from these guys I’ve given a good grade too. Maybe I’m slipping. This is one of those wines you wonder what might taste like in another year.

Yellow Tail 2006 Cabernet Merlot Australia

Tastes like crap. But, after the first half glass it becomes pretty tasty. Just remember to not eat or drink anything else when drinking it or you'll have to choke down a half glass again to dull the senses. But hey, it's cheap.

Live-a-Little Red South Africa

Good for both refined sprites and unselective nymphs. It occasionally has enough of a bite during its finish that you'll want something sweet around when drinking it. If you're just drinking with the boys, find something cheaper.

Badger Mountain 2006 Organic Pure Red Washington

'Eh, it'll do. It isn't that good, but it's not drek. It's a boxed wine and for being served out of a plastic bag, it's better than any other that I've ever tried. Good for low end partying or casual drinking, but it's not good enough that I'll buy it again.

La Vieille Ferme 2005 Red Blend France

Another cheap French wine, another satisfied customer. It's not complex, but it does hit the spot. Goes well with pistachios, but with it's neutrality and table red base, it would probably go decently with almost anything with a bit of flavor or spice. I wouldn't suggest drinking this with either pairs or apples.
