Cheap, but not one you’ll want to trot out as the first bottle. Maybe the third bottle, however when no-one’s looking. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

It’s not quite like the Kenny Roger’s song, but pretty close. This one you don’t walk away from completely, but you might want to at least think about it.

A blended wine from Italy. Blended? More like cycled through a Cuisinart? Something got lost in translation

What can be said that hasn’t been said already? By their own admission they label themselves “The American Classic”, but classic in what way? Is it a wine, or a quick route to a cheap buzz? I’m guessing the later. This one is definitely manufactured instead of lovingly crafted in a small boutique winery. In large letters they suggest serving this “wine” very cold. If your freezer can’t do the trick, might I suggest a couple of minutes in liquid nitrogen? The highly stylized bird on the front is faintly reminiscent of some better foreign Vodkas. But the handy screw top cap is a plus.

It’s somewhat unusual to find a wine Bordeaux. And a bit more unusual to find an $8 wine from Rothschild. It’s serviceable, but nothing spectacular.

Not a bad wine. In fact it’s as good as a $25 bottle of wine I reviewed here earlier. But what is it with this name? At this rate why not a wine named “Lost Horizons”, Zanzibar or Marrakesh? Soon they’ll have to start naming wines after song titles. Anyone for a bottle of “Begin the Beguine?”

More expensive than the usual fare I review, but a good wine if you care to pay the price. Note that it’s a blend of several white wines. Hence the name. You could try to figure out which ones, as the label suggests, or just enjoy it.
