OK. So this is the 3rd bottle my editor has forced me to taste and report on this day. Not that I mind, because it’s not bad. But at this rate, my accuracy could be called into question, and soon.
It’s got a clear, bright, violet-ruby color with some structure to it. There’s some nice berry notes and some definite astringency which won’t be bad if it wasn’t for the fact that the wine seems a little harsh. The astringency seems to throw the balance off. The finish seems to be about medium.

not bad indeed
"not bad" is a complement for juice in this price range. i just picked this up at a discount supermarket, and it is less offensive than similarly priced reds.
